Spotted this while on a walk with my mother. She told me that the berries will turn purple and that as a little kid she used to smush them and use the juice as paint and "makeup".
Thanks KristalWatrous - Really interesting info -kinda scary that she was playing around and smushing these as a kid when they're poisonous!
