Tulip

Subfamily: Lilioideae, Genus: Tulipa

Description:

These red and white tulips planted in the front garden in 2007 with the daffodils, but it seems the past two very harsh NJ winters have hits them and they have not yielded any flowers, just leaves.

Habitat:

Tulips are indigenous to temperate climates world-wide and to mountainous areas with temperate climates and need a period of cool dormancy, known as vernalization.
