Slant-faced Grasshoper (Nymph)

Gomphocerinae subfamily

Description:

A grasshoper nymph found roaming the grass in my yard along with possibly its adult family members.

Notes:

That little black dot in his eyes looking right at the camera tells me he was on guard, and as soon as I made the slightest zoom in on my camera, he got into jumping position. Highly sharp beings! He was about six mm across.
