Description:

Some sort of aphid. A very small (about 1mm long) pink arthropod. Translucent. Has limb-like projections for chemical defense. Found on the metal hood of a public trashcan.

It's an aphid. The projections on the back are called "cornicles". They are used to secrete defensive chemicals and pheromones.
