Though it was nice to finally see these animals (here an adult and calf), they are actually not native to the southern Rockies.
We get to enjoy them in the Beartooth Mtns in South Central Montana...at 10,000 feet! up there with the melting glaciers and incredible lakes. Good place for them to be even if they aren't native to the Southern Rockies
