Glowworm

Phengodes

Description:

It's about 6 cm long when extended, and can curl tightly like a millipede, which is its prey. It has bioluminescent organs that are always "on". The female, which I think this is, remains in this form, while males become beetles with wings and antennae.

Habitat:

Leaf litter in woods.
