Japanese beetle

Popillia japonica

Description:

I'm pretty sure I ran across a very private moment between these Japanese beetles (Popillia japonica) whilst on our hike yesterday! My camera lens kept fogging up from the humidity! I wish I could have gotten a better picture!

Habitat:

Ranger, Georgia--at the disturbed edge of hardwood forest (near a dirt road bordered by a seasonal creek).
