Green sea turtle (teenagers)

Chelonia mydas

Description:

These are in the same turtle farm as the babies. Some are kept by medical reasons since they could not make it in the wild. Others caught in the wild are brought back to health, then released. These were young ones. It was fun to notice that often they adopt a position with their fins on their back. We wondered if this is just to relax.

Habitat:

Tropical sea waters worldwide.
