Spathoglottis plicata
here are both insect-pollinated and self-pollinating species in the genus. They are evergreen plants with crowded pseudobulbs just below the surface of the ground. The 3-lobed labellum projects forward with an extended midlobe which allows insects to land. Both sepals and petals are broad and the sepals are hairy on the outside. The inflorescence arises among sheaths from a recently matured pseudobulb.
hey are easy to cultivate and sought after for their large colourful flowers, and are common in tropical gardens. They need sun for part of the day, well-drained loamy soil and regular water.[
It usually have a purple, yellow, or lavender color. Common variety usually have white petals commonly seen in any forest. Grown and bred by my mother at our backyard.

Wow, so pretty!
Flickr is just for photo sharing - lots of people post orchids on it, and I enjoy looking at them there. :)
thanks, I just change it. I'm actually still looking for some colors of it... I will post it soon if I happen to capture a picture of it.
Sorry but not fun of Flickr... maybe I will try it later.
Those you posted are all beautiful! But you posted two of the same deep pink image - you could replace one with a different color.
Do you have a Flickr account? You could post a bunch there. :)
