Laurus sp (nobilis, novocanariensis, azorica)
On Madeira there is a big laurel forest, there are several sp., these trees get really old (one of them about 1000 years). you can find several species of laurel. after the rain they really smell wonderful spicy. on the branches is moss growing and fern and sometimes even violets.
