Urocyon cinereoargenteus
The overall coloration is best described as a salt and pepper gray with a dark streak extending down the back, along the top of the tail and ending in a black tail tip.
In NC, it occurs statewide, almost certainly in all 100 counties. Occurs from extreme southern Canada nearly throughout the United States, south into Mexico
