A reddish brown leech about 12 mm long that has a bit of a "dome" (at least when I took the picture) being much darker.
This leech was taken off of a water turtle in the Amazon rainforest of SE Ecuador.
I am completely lost. I used all my guesses just calling this a leech. Anyone out there familiar with leeches . . . . . the animal kind? :-)
