Black-naped Forest Racer - Culebra Corredora o Ratonera

Description:

Reaches measure up to seventy centimeters in length. Its coloration is greenish Brown. The belly is yellowish cream. The eyes are large with round pupil. Leave day to hunt lizards, frogs, fish and arthropods. If disturbed flattened body, but quickly flees. It can also swim. It is harmless, but if handled tip bites not dangerous to man. Females lay eggs under fallen trunks.-------------------------------- Llega a medir hasta setenta centímetros de longitud. Su coloración es café verdoso. El vientre es de color crema amarillento. Los ojos son grandes con pupila redonda. Es de hábitos terrestres, aunque pueden ser semiacuáticas. Salen de día a cazar lagartijas, ranas, peces y artrópodos. Si es molestada aplana el cuerpo, pero huye rápidamente. También puede nadar. Es inofensiva, pero si se manipula propina mordidas no peligrosas para el hombre. Las hembras ponen huevos debajo de troncos caídos.

Habitat:

It frequents the flat lands and not the hills. It disperses from Costa Rica to North of the Peru. --------------- Frecuenta las tierras planas y no los cerros. Se dispersa desde Costa Rica hasta el norte del Perú.

I don't know Panama as well, but it looks like a Black-naped Forest Racer from Costa Rica. Definitely in the Dendrophidion genus.
