Higher elevation species on the Lichenya Plateau on Mt. Mulanje in southern Malawi. In the hot season, but gets quite cold on the Mt. all year.
Only around 600 species to narrow it down from! Had a look around using this mountain, Malawi etc but most species pictured were smaller yellow flowers or white of around this size. They look very nice against the fern.
Looks like what we call Straw flowers. You can dry and save the heads of the flowers for decorating.
