Just found a year, was introduced to North America in 1881!

It was introduced from Asia awhile back, they are established now and are popular with hunting. It's been around so long it's even the state bird of South Dakota!

Are Pheasant native in the us or were they planted many year ago?

Although they aren't native, that still must have been awesome to see at your feeder! Still waiting to see one myself!
