Large, green leaves turning slightly purple on edges. They were approximately 8 to 10 inches across. Growing in a muddy ditch along the side of the road in standing water.

anytime, they looked to me almost like the east coast Mayapple.
Thanks, years of hiking through the woods and I don't recall ever seeing them before either. But they are neat looking!
