Desert Bluebell

Phacelia campanularia

Description:

Small, green leafed plant with very colorful bells ranging in shade from blue to purple.

Habitat:

There were no large clumps of this flower, they seemed to be just randomly scattered. There were larger concentrations in the areas that looked like dried-out stream beds. The desert was hot and dry, though there had been snow the day before in the area; possibly these flowers would not have been out without it.
