Powdery mildew

Description:

Powdery Mildew- light grayish white splotches that resemble powder. Found in flower bed on peonies. Kingdom: Fungi Class: Leotiomycetes Family: Erysiphaceae Genus: Blumeria

Habitat:

Loves high humidity, hence why its in my flower garden. Another reason why the peony was attacked by this fungi is that this particular plant is being taken over by a morning glory. The fungi appears in areas with poor air circulation. http://gardening.about.com/od/gardenprob... http://www.apsnet.org/edcenter/intropp/L...
