Venus flytrap

Dionaea muscipula

Description:

Venus flytrap that cultivated from Japan call "Akai ryu" or in English "Red dragon" cause of the red colour of all leaves and flytrap!(have a little green because my garden not enough proper to it)

Habitat:

High humidity , 50% light , tropical tempurature

Notes:

Venus flytrap was found in South Carolina , USA and maybe North Carolina but it wasn't found in Tropical country i.e. Congo Malaysia Indonesia Philippines and Brazil! and it happened like this on Darlingtonia Californica too!

Oh! sorry for that sacrificed flies.Feeding it so many insect will make it less red and it can rot because of catching flies :( Carnivorous plants is the most awesome plants in my mind :)

I was given a small one years ago & seem to recall that the instructions said to feed it flies - Sadly I don't have a green thumb & managed to kill it pretty quickly! I find carnivorous plants fascinating!

@KarenL Yeah It can catch flies but this form cannot catch flies now.It should be taller and bigger for catching flies now it can catch only ants and seldom catch a small fly :D
