Crocodylus acutus
The skull is at Tortuguero National Park. The other skull was inside a very much living crocodile.
I will have to do that once I'm back home. The croc was further North .. close to where the marker is placed. Unfortunately, with there being so many years between I could only guess on an exact location on the river.
Actually this can be made into separate spottings of C. acutus with the skull being a "sign of wildlife" spotting. Was the croc also in the park?
