Description:

A long-bodied beetle with brick red elytra and black head, thorax and legs. Its antennae are distinctly serrated. Elongated mouth parts seen. The beetle is about 11 mms long.

Habitat:

grasslands, native scrub and gardens

Notes:

I have seen a few around this summer. Not sure if this is common to Victoria or just one other that's come down Brisbane, Queensland !! http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_...
