Chanterelle

Description:



 This mushroom does have gills underneath the cap. The cap was little slimy, but mostly dry in areas. The cap is yellow and the edges are slightly curled, which is a characteristic of the Cantharellus Cibarius fungi. The measurement of the cap is round yet flat and about 20 centimeters wide and is approximately 15 centimeters tall. However, this mushroom had no collar, and the spore print color was light yellow-white.

Habitat:

The fungi that I found was in the woods and covered by leaves that have fallen. The trees had created a shade over the mushrooms, where they did not get much sun. The area was dry, and on flat land, yet the second set of mushrooms were on a hill.
