Description:

A colorful katydid found in southern Texas and northeastern Mexico. This is a female, which is actually wingless and has instead lacy, scale-like projections behind the pronotum. This adult has a well-formed ovipositor.

Habitat:

Spotted on flowering vegetation at a forest edge.
