Spotting

Description:

Came across this insect while trapping reptiles in pitfall traps in Cape Otway. Would love any information anyone might have, particularly identification of this species. I have never seen anything like it before.

Habitat:

Open temperate bushland, appeared to be a leaf litter dweller.
