They look like Japanese anemones - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anemone

Those almost look like white poppies except their stems aren't fuzzy like poppies. Nice series!

Thanks Alice. These flowers were definitely not on a bush. Each flower was on it's own individual stem.

Looks like Mock Orange, but it would be on a bush, so I doubt that it is, plus the bloom is too big.
