Coprosma quadrifida

Description:

Glossy deep and pale red berries about 5mm in diameter on a woody shrub about a metre high. Branches on this shrub seemed to end in thorny outgrowths ( pic #2). Leaves were small and ovate.

Notes:

This shrub was difficult to get close to as it was covered by tangled overgrown vegetation.

couldn't get that close - but they all looked pretty untouched to me.

It would be interesting to know if any creatures have had a go at them. Do you remember any holes or bite marks.?
