Breeding adult. Black legs and beak. Rust, white and dark mottling on back, head, and chest. White underneath and sides.
On the gulf side of the western end of Santa Rosa Island, FL, a northern Gulf of Mexico barrier island.
I'm still new to this so I hope I correctly identified this bird.
