Anthropodium strictum
Attractive purple flowers on erect branched stems. The anthers were purple on bright yellow appendages. Leaves were narrow and on this plant about 60 mm long. The plant looked like any other lily with a crown of leaves and flower stalks emerging from the centres.
Dry sclerophyll forest in semi shade in a reserve.
Said to grow in well drained grassy areas. It was difficult to photograph the plant in isolation as the flower stalks and leaves were entwined with tall grass. This plant is not attractive to birds or butterflies. Its tubers were eaten raw or cooked by indigenous people. br> Family: Liliaceae
