Evernia Prunastri
On January 18,2012. Mr.Parents,Aroostook team classes. Went outside and took pictures of lichen and animal prints in the snow or on the trees, also on the ground. My lichen is kind of a green/gray color. It is kinda wavy on the bristles or things that pick out. Some parts of this look leafy and scabby looking. There are like 5,000 different types of Lichen and I believe that this is Evernia Prunastri. The lichen was in the forest and it was on a tree. I believe that the type of tree is a Oak tree. Kingdom: Fungi Division: Ascomycota Class: Lecanoromycetes Suborder: Lecanorineae Genus: Evernia
The habitat was on a tree. I believe it is a oak tree, because the lichens common name is Oak Moss.
