Wineberry

Description:

This stem originally came from the Far Eastern countries and regions of China, Japan, and Korea. This species was brought to North America and Europe for decorative reasons and because of the potential that this plant possessed when it came to growing raspberries. This stem is also red, it has thorns, and it can grow leaves that have berries on them. In recent years this species has been viewed as an invasive species that needs to be controlled.

Habitat:

The primary habitat of this stem is the Northeastern Part of the United States, the Eastern Part of Canada, the Mid-Atlantic Region of the United States, the part of the United States that is considered the Upper South, and the part of the United States that is considered the Mid-West.
