Description:

Lone pine tree growing along the trail to the Old Tin Mines in the Franklin Mountains State Park. Has single silver Christmas ornament!

Habitat:

Chihuahuan desert.

Notes:

Weather on this day was clear and cold. This was the only pine tree I saw in this area of the Franklin Mountains State Park.

That pine tree looks planted, and smaller than a typical mature size, since it does not have regular irrigation. Possibly it was planted as a memorial by someone?
