Spotting

Description:

Larger than a sparrow and smaller than a Robin. Have had 15 in a flock mostly ground feeding. Only thing I can find in my books that looks close is Female Red Winged Blackbird but I don't have males. I am in the Dallas area. Thanks.

Thank you! My puzzle is that I saw 15 of them and have never seen a male here over the last 7 years. I will keep looking though!

Most definitely a female Red-winged Blackbird. I'll often see them hanging out by themselves.
