Spotting

Description:

Black, fuzzy caterpillar with red feet. There are a couple long yellowish hairs on each end.

Habitat:

Side of rock under Pomelo tree in backyard.

Notes:

I suspect this is the Painted Tiger Moth since we had eggs hatch his past fall nearby.

Thank you for the suggestion Chaenorrhinum but those aren't in our area. They're in the eastern half of the US.
