Belted rock-climbing goby

Sicyopus zosterophorum

Description:

A small (up to 5 cm), elongate goby that's fairly rare in the pet trade. Males have reddish-orange ventral coloration, while females are without. Pelvic fins are fused into an adhesive disc (as seen in image #3).

Habitat:

Found in fresh water, brackish water, and saltwater in the following countries: Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, China, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Palau, New Caledonia, and Vanuatu.

Notes:

These fish were spotted at Tulsa Zoo & Living Museum. The male is the 1st image and the female is the 2nd. Also known as "ornate goby" and "Bali goby."
