Pentatomoidea and Pentatomidae ergo Stink Bug. Shield Bugs are usually Scutelleridae (or Jewel Bugs). People in UK call all of these Pentatomoidea shield bugs. I prefer the use of both terms to make a first separation. Sometimes I am not sure of it is Pentatomidae or Scutelleridae (Cave! There are some more families in Pentatomoidea), specially in nymphs.
