Bright yellow and glossy black straitions on it's dorsal side resembles the colouration of wasp. These orb web builders construct vertical webs in shrubby plants and decorate their webs with stabilimenta. They usually rest in a head down position on the web.
It is found across the globe. The web and the spider was found nestled among shrubs and stalks of grass along a village road.
Females, typically much larger in size when compared to the males, almost always consume their male counterpart after copulation. Despite the cannibalism and threatening colour scheme, these guys are harmless to humans. Shot on Nikon D750
