Description:

2" long copper brown colored salamander found under rock close to lake.

Habitat:

Long Hunter State Park, Tennessee.

Notes:

We found about a dozen salamanders under a similar number of rocks today.

Zigzag Salamander - Plethodon dorsalis - Lead phase - I usually find about 3-4 of the lead phase to every 1 of the zigzag phase here in middle Tennessee.
