Savanna like ecosystem, they found at shrubs.
I'm sure they are golden tortoise beetle, but I can't ID the exact species! Also, I think that first and 3rd pics just male or female. Any ID will be great!

Terima kasih Ibu Dyah! Yes Sarah, this only small part of the beauty creation of Allah.
SubhanAllah, that is so beautiful. How perfect and marvelous is Allah's (God's) creation!
In Indonesian this species call ' kepik emas ' because the colour of this species look like a gold ( emas = gold ).
No, Boulevard.
spotted in UI urban forest?
Yes, 3rd pics show different individual and has paler coloring. I don't know whether they are come from the same species or not? 1&2 is the same individual, but the 3rd is different. But they found at the same spot, I remember they are found on the same plant at the first time and they are some (more than 3, if I'm not wrong). But they fly away and I follow them.
Same goes for me too. Just notice that the beetle in the 3rd picture has a paler coloring - or is it just the angle?
Also for me Starleaf. But I don't know why I just know the name, love the insects, but not yet study at it. :(
Looks like a gold nugget. Tortoise beetles are my all-time favorite insects.
Thanks Karen & Vanhevel! Thanks for your appreciation van, its also make me very2 happy found them in the wild.
I've seen a couple of these since joining Project Noah, I think it may be my new favorite insect! They are quite fascinating
