Family Ampullaridae
Like pink mulberries these dusky-pink egg clusters were laid above the water line. Laying the eggs above the waterline protects them from aquatic predators.Plus, the eggs contain a poison that makes them inedible to all except a species of ants. I first saw these eggs on PN: now I have seen them in the flesh (so to say!).
Waterbody in Ayutthya near Bangkok. There was this metal contraption jutting into the water and the eggs were plastered all over it.
Apple snails belong to Family Ampullaridae. These may be invasive. https://www.al.com/news/2017/09/amazonia... https://www.seriouslyfish.com/apple-snai...
