Orchid to approx. 15cm tall, with flowers opening only on hot sunny days. I think this spotting is T.rubra rather than T. carnea based off the large warty column arms and distribution ( T. carnea is primarily distributed in heathy vegetation closer to the coast).

I haven't noticed orchids yet. They sure are interesting structures.
