Magnolia grandiflora
These trees can grow quite large over time with heavy arching branches. Blooms in the summer emerging from a waxy or fuzzy casing that protects the tight bundle of white petals which fold out over time. Leaves of the tree are evergreen (though they do drop a lot of brown and gold leaves in the fall) and are waxy, thick and with a fuzzy brown undercoating.
Native to the South East. Spotted in West Central GA
