Size same about common golden tortoise beetle. But, it really different from the pattern of dorsal part. Is it a juvenile?

Habitat:

Old agricultural area - plants around it: Mimosa, Imperata, Penisetum, and commonly some kinds of grass and herbs.

Yes, and I think U.S. is one of the best country for wildlife documentation.

I think it's mainly US species on bugguide but maybe it will help to narrow down the species a bit!
