Description:

Fox squirrels are small, with long furry tails, sharp claws, and their fur color is reddish-brown.

Habitat:

Fox squirrels prefer open areas, where trees are widely spaced, they are found in live oak, pine forests, mixed forests, and mangrove swamps.

There are around 280 different species of squirrel.
