Red-winged Dragon Millipede

Desmoxytes sp., Paradoxosomatidae

Description:

I would'nt know where to begin to describe this millipede, but I think the ident could be correct. Approximately 1.5" in length

Habitat:

Spotted crawling up the exterior wall of the house this morning, before being relocated to the Ixora hedge, just in case it found it's way through the insect screen.

Fantastically scary creature ! a bit of millipede, centipede and scutigera ( house centipede) . Those up-curved spines along the sides is dramatic - great shots Viv. Thanks.
