Description:

Big bristly heads with a ring of small purple flowers. The ring starts in the middle, then splits and moves towards the top and bottom. Heads are 3-4 inches tall. The whole plant is very tall, close to 6 feet. Considered a noxious weed here.

Habitat:

open field, near water or in wet areas
