Description:

Hoverfly that mimics a wasp. Male. Maybe E. corollae. E. corollae is a common syrphid with a length of ca. 9 mm that is often bred as the larvae are superb aphid eaters. It is especially used on plantations growing of Chrysanthemum and spinach.

Habitat:

Spotted at a meadow in an evergreen oak (Quercus illex) forest. Dehesa de Valdelatas
