Southern toad

Description:

Southern toads range in size from approximately 40 - 113 mm long, with an average body mass of 19 g. Coloration is usually brown, grey or reddish, with several dorsal spots and warts. The belly is usually grayish in color, and the chest area is spotted. They have high cranial crests with pronounced knobs, located between and behind the large, protruding eyes.

Habitat:

They are typically found in pinewoods, scrub oak, and mixed forest environments; they may also be found in agricultural fields or even in backyards.
