Caterpillar

Description:

This fuzzy, black caterpillar was the prey of a Black Widow spider. It's dead and all wrapped up in a web.

Habitat:

When I flipped over a rock, this was dislodged from the underside onto nearby dead grass. The rock had a large Black Widow on it.

Notes:

Only yards away was a black caterpillar that may be the same species that can be seen at my other spotting:http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/9871640
