White Tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

I went looking for the buck, which I eventually found along with over ten doe by his side (because it's spring, the buck will spend more time with the females.) I was hoping to take a photo of all of them together, but unfortunately the females all got frightened when I unzipped my camera bag. The buck stayed, but as I clicked to take the shot, he ran away, too and the photo came out a blur. Luckily I found these two does later that day. I do hope to get a photo of the buck tomorrow, one that isn't just a blur! He looked amazing this time of year due to the rapid growth in antlers during spring.
