It doesn't look like this guy could hover, at least not as well as the hoverflies could.

Looks like mine is a bit lighter brown than the suggested animal. I uploaded a side view, to possibly make things easier. Looks like the suggestion isn't found here. Darn.

Nope. These are different from the rolling isopods, so species identify will be a bit more difficult for me.
